What Would You Do?
The NC Education Lottery is up to a quarter of a billion dollars. Naturally, this is newsworthy material and momentarily derailed this morning’s meeting in to a “What would you do with all that cash?” convo.
First, I would pay off all debt, but not just my own. Mine, my sister’s, my mom’s, and my brothers’. We would all be starting from scratch which is a nice feeling (I’m sure, I wouldn’t know though).
Second, I would quit my job and take some time off. In this time I would probably travel to London and do more shopping in a few weeks than any other human could imagine. I would take my mother, sister and her kids of course.
Third, I would renovate my FULLY PAID OFF TOWNHOUSE (thanks to my winnings) and sell it to a cute family looking for a nice place to live. Then I would buy a new house with an in ground pool because I’ve always wanted one. I would probably purchase this house in Raleigh because it’s busier there and nicer (more stuff to do).
Fourth, I would open a boutique named MGC. All of my girls would come work for/ with me. We would be the Che Bella of Raleigh (with slightly overpriced party dresses).
That’s my wish list so far. I’m sure there would be tons more on it and I would probably end up one of those sob stories on the News but it would be fun while it lasted.
**When I went to purchase my ticket I bought a few more to pass on to my co-workers with the contingency that “if” they won, they had to buy me a car. It’s funny how giving people are with their potential 1/4 bill jackpot before they win.
Our E.P. said “Hell, if I win I’ll get you a car and maybe throw a million your way.”
Our Morning Anchor’s reaction was “A car? You only want a car? What about a plane? I could get you a plane.”**
Wish me luck!
